Bangups are a two piece featuring Joey Dornbos (guitar/vocals) and Brent French (drums). Put to music with a melody that doesn?t let the listener sulk - Bangups music hits hard with solid electrifying energy. Influences include Bob Dylan, Hank Williams Sr., James Brown, Son House, Animals, Johnny Cash, White Stripes, and Weezer.

"...this Grand Rapids duo's debut fly by, unhinged, honest, raw - and they call to mind everything you love about whiskey soaked, back-sliding blues. The best part - it's all ridden with foot stomping, cymbal crashing beats and glorious guitar fuzz."
-Dan MacDonald, 939 The River - a Detroit Radio Station.

The Juliets

The Juliets are a five piece chamber pop band hailing from Ypsilanti,Michigan. The Juliets were formed in October 2008 by pianist Jeremy Freer (formerly of his namesake band, Freer), cellist Kaylan Mitchell (formerly of the band, not the country; Canada), and violinist Sarah Myers. Over a bottle of red wine, the trio began writing classically influenced pop songs which are showcased on 2010's debut album, 'The Juliets'.The ambitious collection of songs showcases Freer's songcraft with the aid of some soaring strings that are not just ornamental but essential to the band's sound. The Juliets' exciting and enthusiastic live show (aided by bassist Ashton Hopkins and drummer Jackie Phillips) has led them to share the stage with such acts as The Von Bondies, OFFICE, The Satin Peaches, and The Silent Years. This is baroque... but with backbone. Website:

The pair had worked together in a previous band, but The Common Good was a new beginning and a new direction. With drummer Jeremy Dutkiewicz, The Common Good began performing in a variety of venues in the Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids areas. The Common Good recorded a self-titled and independently released EP of all original music with Grand Rapids-based singer/songwriter Christopher Andrus in September 2008. The band counts among its many influences Nirvana, Queens of the Stone Age, The Breeders, Alice In Chains and Stone Temple Pilots. Rockin' the eastern shore (of Lake Michigan) for the past six years. Our spicy blend of guitar rock folded in a crunchy shell of indy-pop is sure to satisfy.

King Crab Apple

King Crabapple has cultured a reputation in Muskegon as a formidable five-piece, blending hip-hop and funk into something ferocious. With a songbird female vocalist and a male MC on the mic they oscillate wildly between their inspirations but never seem to settle.
